      I Wanna Cook With Her! 

Ø     How do you want to go (on) date with a girl?

I want to go to a resort spot and relax.

Going to the resort, lying on the pool side while drinking juice... (laugh)

I don't really go to the cinema, but I would like to watch movies too. I like action movies and comedy movies but I don’t like horror movies…

And I WANT US TO COOK the meal together.

I can cook jajang tteokbokki (rice cake with soy bean paste), spaghetti and so on.

I’ve never cooked with my girlfriend before, so I want to do it together.

Ø     What is your ideal girlfriend? Did you change your ideal type from then to now?

I used to like woman who is the Stepford wife type. (typical housewife type)

But now, I'd like a girl who can agree with me and who will consider both our feelings.And someone who can enjoy my hobbies with me.

Nowadays, I like playing golf, riding horses, doing shooting and archery (laugh).

Even if she can do only one of them, I’m already happy.

I don’t like sports like basketball, baseball, and soccer.

Ø     What girls' fashion do you like?

I think if she wears something that looks nice on her, it's okay.

I don’t know anything about fashion, so I don’t really care about it.

Ø     What do you think is the type of girl that will be suitable for a SJ member?

If it is for Ryeowook, I think the girl should be really feminine.

Otherwise, they won't be able to keep the relationship long…

Surprisingly, Ryeowook is a conservative man (laugh).

Ø     What things interest you nowadays?

I want to marry as soon as I can. I want to get married young and build a good relationship with my wife. I also really want to spend happy time with my children.

  ̶     What the type of girl would you want to marry?

My ideal type and my requirement keep increasing (laugh).

I want to marry someone who is a  Stepford wife type.

A girl who loves me, and cares about me.

A girl who is shorter than me, who looks nice with short haircut or one who looks good when she fixes her hair.

I like a face that is not gorgeous, but cute.

Ø     What is the word that you would want to hear from her?

“I LOVE YOU”, that’s it. And I also like compliment words.

If she praises me, I will definitely try my best.

Ø     What is the word that you don’t want to hear from her?

It's not that I dislike the word, but it's the one I am afraid of. It's "I am disappointed in you."

I always try to do my best to live up to the expectations of people, so that word gives me stress and I get nervous hearing it. I am the man who is tormented by remorse sometimes.

̶       How do you overcome such stress?

I do meditation.

I really enjoy those times. While listening to music and seeing beautiful landscapes, I am able to get rid of that bad feeling. And I try to be positive. For example, I try to just think that I will not do the same mistake next time.

O Spring is the season of new life (in Japan) Some people would want to make new friends in new place. Do you have any advise for them?

I think you can get along by doing friendly actions.

Try to help or show your concern for someone. You will make friends that way.

O  What is the thing you'd want to challenge right now?

I want to be an amateur golf player. I just started golf (beginner) but… my father and brother are already in gold level, so we play golf together sometimes. I have a friend who is a golf player, and I think he has a very interesting job.

I’d love to try dance sports too when I can find someone who also like it.

O     Throughout the world tour, which country impressed you ?

Thailand. Because Thailand was the first country we went to and yet, many people welcomed us. We did the press interview in a basement settled between two department store. During the whole interview, that space was occupied full by our fans. I was really surprised when I saw that. We could see the fans’ faces and their banners.

Every time I see such scene, I get very impressed.

O  If you would go somewhere with the SJ members, where do you want to go?

To a resort spot.

Without any anxiety, I want to relax with them.

o     You're not only a singer but you also perform in a musical. What is the attraction of a musical stage?

At the musical stage, I can perform vividly, and that is the main attraction.

I think the live stage impresses people more than screen image.

    ̶      Have you made a mistake on the stage before?

I am perfectionist, so I cannot forgive any mistake.

Some people go on the stage without the necessary object or something by mistake, but I’ve never done such a mistake.

But I did fail before (laugh).

At “Jack the Ripper”, I sang a song with a higher registered note than the original.

  ̶     How did you correct it?

I ACTED (laugh).

At the last stage, it got difficult for me. And it was difficult to resist laughing with the other actors and actresses (laugh).

 ̶      Have you ever had slump time?

It comes sometimes. But I enjoy such slump time, occasionally.

I try to think of it as, if I overcome this slump, I will be stronger.

When I did “Jack the Ripper” in Japan, I had to go back and forth between Korea and Japan, and at the same time, prepare for the Super Show stage. At that time, my throat itched and I could not sing, I could not even say a word. I had the stage soon, but I lost my voice. I was so worried, but I tried to think that if I could overcome that, I would become much stronger. So, I decided to do it even if my throat might get torn. I went to the hospital and got some medicine after, and I overcame that.

I think that decision made me stronger, it made me realize that I could do well on the stage. That I could do it because I threw away the negative thinking, like “Oh my god! How can I do…!” (Because I wasn't thinking negatively,) I am able to do things at my own pace.

o     How do you keep your baby face?

I don’t use skin care a lot. I just try to think a bit younger. So my feeling is still young.

I will keep my motivation of 22, even 23 years from now. I will still work hard on everything (laugh).

“Summer Snow” will start soon, it will be from Osaka to Tokyo.
